On a long holiday and miss your pets back home? Swing by Lanta Animal Welfare for a quick puppy fix. Lanta Animal Welfare is the top rated thing to do in Koh Lanta, Thailand according to TripAdvisor- for a good reason. The shelter saves stray dogs and cats in Koh Lanta. It also helps them strays get adopted across the world. Finally, Lanta Animal Welfare offers tourists on holiday the opportunity to come bond with the animals.
After visitors finish a free tour they can take the opportunity and take one of the shelter dogs on a walk. Keep in mind though- during high season some of these dogs are getting walked A LOT. Still, there are few better feelings than chilling with a new four legged friend on white sand beaches. Do something good for yourself and a lonely puppy- stop by the shelter and take one of these great pups for a walk!
*Thanks to the staff and volunteers at Lanta Animal Welfare. You guys do incredible work and we appreciated every minute. (Even though Tammy didn’t feel like going on a walk with us…)
Koh Lanta is not too far from Ao Nang ya know…

Some say Diemer was raised by wolves. Others claim the spirits of the forest played a part. Most however, would agree that he was raised by his parents in a house.
A living oddity, he is one of the few living men who can legally drive a Class A dump truck but also knows why you’d pay more for a full canvas suit.
While blessed with many useless gifts, he is not a man without weakness. To this day he is unable to throw a baseball or “pigskin” in front of others without fear of ridicule.
