Bali is such a small island that all you really need is a scooter. If it’s too hot out for you, or if you’re not comfortable riding your own scooter, you can always call a Grab car, a Grab or Gojek bike, or hire a private driver. There is virtually no public transport on the island.

Bali experiences only two seasons: the rainy season and the dry season. The best time to visit Bali is between April and October, the island's dry season. Throughout the year, the daytime temperatures hover between the mid-80s and low 90s, with only the humidity and precipitation patterns changing.

You shouldn’t have any safety concerns in Bali apart from the occasional petty crime incident. Be careful of pickpocketing in crowded areas and in bars, and don’t whip your phone out on a bike or in public.
Also note, the tap water is NOT drinkable. Drink bottled, or filtered water instead.

There are endless accommodation options in Bali. Airbnb tends to be the best option, but guesthouses, hotels and hostels are plentiful as well. Depending on your budget, there will definitely be an option for you.
