There are so many different modes of transportation in India and they’re all super affordable. Tim specifically went to India to do a motorbike tour but there are taxis, tuk tuks, trains, buses and cheap flights all over the country.

The best time to visit India is between October and March, when the weather is more likely to be warm, sunny, and dry.
During this time, the north offers clear blue skies. However, December and January are much cooler, with potential fog. While the higher Himalaya can be very cold, but with clearer mountain views. Increasing temperatures in April and May can result in excellent value trips, but you can expect high humidity and thunderstorms.

Generally speaking, India is mostly safe for tourists. Violent crime isn't common in this country, especially not against foreigners. Petty theft does exist but it is more prominent in areas frequented by tourists.
Keep a photocopy of your passport, Indian visa and flight ticket separately from the originals when traveling, in case you do lose them.
Have travel insurance in case of emergencies, especially if you’re doing the same motorbike tour that Tim did. We use: WorldNomads

This, once again, depends on what you’re doing in India. If you’re sticking to the big cities, it’s going to be hot, dirty and dusty. Opt for breathable clothes that aren’t too light in colour, or revealing either. Bring a shawl to cover up for holy places and temples, and pack some good walking shoes.
If you’re doing Tim’s motorbike tour, you’ll need good quality and breathable motorbike wear.
Always carry toilet paper and wet wipes with you, as well as stomach medicine because the odds of you getting sick from the food are very high. And lastly, a universal power adaptor plug.

Street food, street food, street food. Make sure you’re eating warm, clean food to “prevent” stomach bugs. Here are some India favorites: Masala dosa, Chaat, Dal makhani, Vada pav, Stuffed paratha, Dhokla, Barfi.
