Take a virtual vacation around the usa

From Florida to Alaska, we documented our entire RV road trip across the USA!

Travel Tips

  • 1. backpacker - $100-$150

    2. comfortable $200-$300

    3. luxury $450+

  • We generally always opt for transportation that doubles as accommodation whenever we travel around the US. Either a van or an RV.

If this isn't your cup of tea, look for flights on Scott’s Cheap Flights or Faredrop.

The USA is BIG. Be sure to keep this in mind when planning travel times between destinations.

  • The best time to travel domestically in the US is either during spring (late March to late May) or Fall (late September to late October). Since these are the shoulder seasons before and after summer, these months have milder temperatures as well as fewer visitors in the most popular destinations.

  • If planning on doing a lot of hiking, typical wilderness safety should be practiced. Be sure to read campground and trail rules thoroughly and to have a plan in case of an emergency. Always be sure to tell people when and where you are headed to just in case.

Bears and big cats are just two of the animal dangers, while extremes in weather present other risks. Always research the area you’re heading into.

  • We generally stay in an RV or a van whenever we’re traveling around our own country. Transportation and accommodation in one!

  • Although the United States does not have an official language, the most commonly used language is English (specifically, American English) and it’s spoken at home by approximately 78% of the U.S population

    National parks: www.nps.gov

  • This really depends on where you are in the States and what time of year.

Having to pack for all sorts of weather, and gear as well depending on what your planning to do, it's important to pack smart! Check out trippedtravelgear.com for travel compression cubes. They'll help you stay organized as well as packing for optimal space saving! We even have a National Park collection!

  • Traditional American meals: Apple Pie, The Hamburger, Clam Chowder in Boston, Bagel in New York, Deep-Dish Pizza, Biscuits and Sausage Gravy, Texas Barbecue, and any fast food.

The USA is multicultural though and you can find just about any type of food from anywhere in the world, and most of the time it’s authentically made.
